Ronnie Gale Dreyer is an internationally known astrological consultant, lecturer and teacher specializing in both Western and Vedic astrology (also known as Jyotish and Hindu astrology), and based in New York City. A practitioner of both Eastern and Western systems, she is a pioneer in bringing Vedic astrology to the attention of, and making it accessible to, Western audiences. She has clients and students throughout the world. Ronnie is the author of Healing Signs: The Astrological Guide to Wholeness and Well-Being, published by Doubleday Broadway and a selection of theOneSpirit Book Club, Vedic Astrology: A Guide to the Fundamentals of Jyotish (revised version of Indian Astrology), published by Redwheel/Weiser,Your Sun and Moon Guide to Love and Life, Venus: The Evolution of the Goddess and Her Planet, and Indian Astrology. She is also a contributor to numerous anthologies including Under One Sky, published by Seven Paws Press,Astrology for Women: Roles and Relationships, published by Llewellyn, Hindu Astrology Lessons,The Body: An Encyclopedia of Archetypal Symbolism, and Llewellyn's Sun and Moon Sign Books, and several others. Her books have been translated into Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian, Bulgarian, and have appeared in Indian versions. Ronnie has written gift books, columns, articles and book reviews for Mountain Astrologer, Nylon, American Astrology, Horoscope Guide, NCGR memberletter, Geocosmic Journal, Astrological Association of Great Britain Journal, The Ingress, ISAR International Astrologer, www.stariq.com, www.astroved.com and numerous other astrological journals and newsletters. She has written for the New York Daily News horoscope column, and has been mentioned or quoted in articles in New York Newsday, New York Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, India Times, and www.belief.net.Ronnie lectures extensively for astrology groups, conducts ongoing courses and workshops in Vedic Astrology, and has been on the faculty of conferences and spoken for groups throughout the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia. She has taught or lectured at East West Books, Barnes and Noble, New York Theosophical Society, New York Open Center, and Learning Annex, and is on the faculty of ACVA (American College of Vedic Astrology), is an instructor for ACVA Online College and is on the faculty of SJC (Sri Jagannath Center). Ronnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theater Arts from the University of New Mexico, and studied Jyotish (Vedic Astrology), both privately and at Sanskrit University in Benares, India. She is currently studying Sanskrit at Columbia University.
Ronnie co-founded the first astrological computer service in the Netherlands where she lived for 13 years and was the official Dutch representative for Astro*Carto*Graphy. Ronnie also has served as manuscript reader, editorial consultant, and proofreader of new age and self-help books for several major publishing companies.
Ronnie was the corresponding secretary of the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN)from 1992-1998, and its presiding officer from 1999-2003. She is currently the editor of NCGR's memberletter, and served on the AFAN Newsletter committee. Ronnie is on the Board of Directors of ACT (Astrological Conference on Techniques). In 1994, she received the Jyotish Kovid award from the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences for "promoting the cause of astrology through writings and lectures" and AFAN presented her with its Jim Lewis Community Service Award at UAC in 1998. Ronnie is the proud recipient of the 2002 Marion D. March Regulus Award for Community Service, which she received at UAC 2002 in Orlando Florida. She holds the NCGR Level IV certificate (C.A. NCGR).
Horoscope Interpretation
A thorough examination of one's emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual strengths and weaknesses in the context of the Western and/or Vedic Horoscopes. The reading consists of all areas of your life - career, romance, health, talents, difficulties, family, etc. as well as a forecast of the next couple years. Charts for events like marriage and starting a business, or compatibility readings, or just one question about something specific are also available. Ronnie specializes in but is not limited to the horoscopes of women and their unique issues. Sessions are recorded and conducted via the telephone if you are not within the immediate area. Planetary stations and retrogrades are among the most powerful predictive tools we have to work with. Each planet has its own unique cycles and influences our charts and the world in different ways. In this workshop, we will look at the stations and retrogrades in mundane astrology and in our own chart, focusing especially on the retrograde cycles of Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Bring your charts so that we can see which retrograde cycle, if any, affects you in the coming months. The beauty of these planetary cycles lies in the fact that it does not matter which zodiac you use, so western and Vedic astrologers are all welcome. These positions, which include retrograde cycles, Morning and Evening Star phases, inferior/superior conjunctions with the Sun, and heliacal risings/settings, are as relevant today as they were then. Discover how these positions, easy to compute, provide amazing forecasting tools by which we can pinpoint with amazing precision both personal and mundane events. This lecture is generic and applies to both Eastern and Western charts.
